At what age should children see an orthodontist?

Over 80% of orthodontic treatments begin after the age of 10.
If your dentist actively recommends seeing an orthodontist earlier due to noticeable dental or jaw misalignments, it's the best way to ensure you don’t miss the ideal time to begin treatment.

What will it cost?

The cost of orthodontic treatment can vary significantly from one patient to another.
It depends on factors such as treatment duration, complexity, and type of treatment.
Additionally, costs differ for publicly insured and privately insured patients.

For publicly insured patients, many services can be billed directly to the health insurance provider. Any personal contribution or additional private agreements will be discussed after an examination and the creation of a treatment plan.

Privately insured patients will receive a detailed cost estimate, which should be submitted to their private health insurance provider or subsidy office before treatment begins.

Do you offer payment plans?

In principle, our practice offers you the option to pay co-payments, invoices, and additional services in monthly installments — interest-free.
As a rule, installment payments should be completed by the end of treatment.
Please feel free to speak with us so we can find a solution tailored to your needs.

Will I feel pain when my braces are applied?

Getting a removable brace is completely painless.
Of course, it may feel unfamiliar or slightly uncomfortable at first — that's completely normal. However, it should not cause pain or pressure sores. If it does, please schedule an SOS appointment with us.

The placement of fixed braces is also pain-free.
Some steps like polishing, cleaning, or holding the cheeks aside may feel a little uncomfortable, but not painful.
After the braces are placed, mild pain may occur over the first 7–10 days, as the teeth begin to move. In over 95% of cases, pain relief is not necessary. If needed, Paracetamol or Ibuprofen can be taken at your own discretion.

We recommend avoiding hard foods such as apples, carrots, or nuts during this initial period.
