Don't panic – here's where to get help!

Brace broken?

Oh no – the brace was wrapped in a tissue and accidentally stepped on. Now it’s broken.

First of all: stay calm and don’t worry.
Just contact us to book an appointment.

In most cases, the brace can be repaired and will be ready for you again in about 7 days.

Bracket came off

The bracket has come loose and is now hanging on the wire. Please schedule an appointment so we can fix the issue promptly.

The archwire is causing discomfort.

The archwire is poking into the cheek, has broken, or is causing discomfort. We’ll need to take a look to determine what’s going on. Please call us or send us an email so we can resolve the issue promptly.

Pain

After placement of a fixed appliance or clear aligners, it is normal to experience some tooth pain or sensitivity. This discomfort should subside within 7 days. If the pain persists beyond a week, please contact us by phone so we can determine whether an urgent in-office appointment is necessary.

Jaw joint pain

If you are experiencing acute pain (within the last 14 days) combined with restricted mouth opening, it is advisable to schedule an appointment promptly to prevent potential long-term damage.
