Orthodontics
In cases of jaw joint disorders
One of the most common issues in adults involves disorders of the chewing system.
These include pain in the jaw muscles or jaw joint (TMJ). Other symptoms may include limited mouth opening or a clicking sound in the jaw joint. These complaints are classified under the term CMD (Craniomandibular Dysfunction).
To determine the exact cause of the issue, a thorough examination of the jaw joint structures is essential.
Only after this assessment can a precise diagnosis be made and, if necessary, the condition addressed with an appropriate therapeutic approach.
In some cases, additional diagnostic records such as X-rays, dental models, or even an MRI scan may be required.
Therapeutic solutions can range from simple to more complex, depending on the individual case.
