"Hi, my name is Sanjay, and I've been known as "Sunny" ever since my very first smile. Since January 2015, I've proudly held the title of founder of the specialist orthodontic practice My Sunny Smile.

In 2005, I completed my dental studies at the renowned University of Birmingham in England and soon began working as a dentist in my parents’ practice in Mühlacker.

I quickly realized that university life as a student and day-to-day practice as a real-world dentist were two entirely different worlds. I felt a strong desire to not only deepen my dental skills but also to immerse myself in the daily life of both surgical and orthodontic practices. Over the next four years, I spent 50% of my time in general dentistry and the other 50% in orthodontics.

My passion for treating children, and the variety and creativity that orthodontics offers, grew steadily. In 2009, I decided to pursue the additional three-year path to become a certified specialist in orthodontics.

After two years of further training in Karlsruhe and another year at the University Clinic in Tübingen — where I also taught under Professor Götz — I passed my orthodontic board certification exam in Stuttgart in 2012.

From 2012 to 2014, I worked as an employed orthodontist in the greater Stuttgart and Reutlingen area, gaining nearly 10 years of professional experience in dentistry and orthodontics.

Because of my roots, I decided to stay close to home and build a practice based on my own ideas and concepts.

On January 5, 2015, we welcomed our very first patients to our newly founded specialist orthodontic practice at Emrichstraße 3 in Mühlacker.

Over the past 10 years, our team has grown from 4 to 21 members. Every day, we treat our patients across more than 300 square meters with passion, energy, dedication, expertise, and the highest quality standards.

There’s a truly unique atmosphere in our exceptional team — the kind I would wish for at every doctor’s office.

In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my wife and our daughter. We love going to the mountains or taking short city trips together.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m a very sporty and active person. If you’re looking for me, you’ll probably find me on the yoga mat, in the gym, on the squash court, or at the putting green.

I’ve played squash semi-professionally for over 30 years — including 1st Bundesliga, five-time state champion, national team player, European and World Championships, and even Olympic-level events, proudly representing my mother’s homeland, Luxembourg, since 1999.

Squash is definitely more than just a hobby for me."
